Poems About Nothing in Particular

Devour
Red is the color of poems assessed
like wine, supped by rosy lips, aerated
between pink gums,
rolled over the tongue and spit
into tins to collect and intertwine;
never consumed
never
digested.
I want to swallow a poem
whole.
