Like the Clay VII

I-III
IV
V
VI
VII.

The cat's hiss
is that of a short fuse.

We are all ill-
tempered these days.

You arrived
at my doorstep
all messed up,

hands badly bandaged,
a grenade

lodged

in your broken teeth.

After I replaced the pin
with a bent paper clip,
you told me between gasps

(the nerve
of a tooth
exposed)

that it was the only
forbidden fruit
you could find.

Nathan, I read through all of the pieces, and all I can say is Wow! There are so many things hidden here in plain sight, that I have no idea where to start. Just need to go back and begin again, and move so much more slowly. What I can honestly say is that I feel that I have found treasure! I'll be back, I only hope you can be patient.
